5 Reasons Humans Are NOT Going To Mars In The Near Future

Image
Apart from our home, the Earth, Mars is by far the most habitable planet in our Solar System.  In fact, it’s the only planet that is even in the discussion for humans to potentially visit someday.  Being so close to the sun, Venus and Mercury are non-starters with their extreme temperatures and solar radiation among many other problems, making them absolutely off limits for humans.  Beyond Mars, there are only gas giants with no surfaces, but these planets are so large that even if we could walk on them, the gravity alone would be deadly.  And so, Mars is the planet we imagine astronauts someday visiting; it’s the planet stories are written about and movies are made about. But one man, Elon Musk, has aspirations of making these stories and movies a reality.  His vision for Mars includes a self-sustaining civilization on the red planet, with the goal of ensuring the long-term survival of our species.  The thought of a human civilization thriving on Ma...

The Top 5 U.S. Presidents Of All Time

Image
Welcome back to another presidential blog here on Stuff That Happened; a couple videos back, I ranked my Worst 5 Presidents of all time and that video got a lot of activity and lots of you asked me to do my Top 5 U.S. Presidents of all time, and today that request will be granted. I have done my own personal rankings before and they do evolve some over time, but as of today, after some hard consideration, I have come up with my top 5. Let me know your top 5 in the comment section down below, but like I did for my 5 worst, I'll give 3 quick honorable mentions who I considered, but they missed the cut. These mentions are in no particular order. Honorable Mentions John F. Kennedy I lot of people expected JFK to be on my most overrated video, but that wasn't going to happen because I rank JFK quite high, although I couldn't quite put him in the top 5, mainly because he served as President less than 3 years before he was assassinated, causing him to fail to accomplish some of...

Top 5 Most OVERRATED U.S. Presidents

Image
Welcome back to another presidential blog on Stuff That Happened and today I'll be ranking my 5 most OVER-RATED presidents in United States history. To determine who is overrated, I'm looking at some of the famous historical surveys and on Wikipedia, we can see Presidents with more blue and green indicate a more favorable ranking. I looked through every President with a favorable ranking on most surveys, and picked out the 5 most overrated in my opinion and today we'll talk about why I feel they're overrated while also looking back at their performance as President and attempting to answer why they are looked at so favorably. Keep in mind, I'm not saying these Presidents were necessarily awful or among the worst; in fact, none of them made my Worst 5 of All Time list, although one was a dishonorable mention. But they are all, in my opinion anyway, over-rated. William McKinley 5. William McKinley McKinley is consistently ranked in the upper half of Presidential ranki...

The TEXAS 7 - The Most DARING Prison Escape Ever & 7 DANGEROUS Men With NOTHING TO LOSE Wreak HAVOC!

Image
On December 13th, 2000, seven inmates incarcerated at John B. Connelly Unit near Kenedy, Texas made one of the most daring and elaborate escapes ever successfully pulled off at a maximum security facility.  The seven men had originally committed various heinous but unrelated crimes and were all serving severe prison sentences.  But they became a dangerous unit whose reckless and deadly behavior during the escape caused massive anger and tragedy within the community.  The group became known as the Texas Seven, something that sounds straight out of the Old West.  In today's video, we'll look into this riveting escape and the tragic outcome - the result of 7 dangerous criminals being on the loose with nothing to lose.  They had become absolutely desperate - and without morals or a willingness to surrender - their desperation resulted in multiple deaths.  George Angel Rivas Jr. , the ringleader of the Texas 7,  was born in El Paso, Texas on May 6th, 1970....

A Fugitive Evaded Capture For 56 YEARS & His Positive Reputation Helped Him REMAIN FREE!!

Image
It was July 3rd, 1957 in Akron, Ohio at around 11:10 PM when a young man who recently turned 21 years old, Frank Freshwaters, was driving along the southbound lane of Arlington Drive. His car was not in great condition and did not have a functioning horn or emergency brake. He also did not have car insurance. As he neared 1000 Linton Drive, he suddenly saw a man crossing the road near his home right in front the car. Traveling at about 40 miles per hour, he tried to stop but was unable to do so in time and collided with 24-year old Eugene Flynt. Flynt was seriously injured and died at 12:01 AM, less than an hour after the collision. Eugene Flynt Freshwaters was arrested and booked on 2nd degree manslaughter charges, because according to prosecutor Robert Blakemore, he was speeding and driving an unsafe vehicle when the accident occurred. He was given a $1,000 bond by Judge William Victor after a hearing and was able to make bail. He eventually agreed to plead guilty and appeared...
